Pidgeot EX
Pidgeot EX is a bit of a mixed-bag. It's a powerful card that can potentially wreck the opponent with its peak 140 damage, but not every player runs a full bench at any given time. Still, its high base damage means that it can definitely pose a threat even if the opponent only has one or two cards on their bench. The fact that it's colorless also means that Pidgeot EX can work with a plethora of different strategies, making Pidgeot EX decks pretty unpredictable. It's going to take a bit of time to get the 3 cards and 3 energy needed to get this apex predator of the sky onto the field, but it can definitely pay off!
Worth noting is the fact that Pidgeot EX's gimmick directly preys on Pikachu EX, but the time that it takes to get Pidgeot EX on the field combined with its weakness to Electric attacks can make this a risky play.
Pidgeot EX + WeezingGo to Deck
The classical pairing of Weezing and Koga with a main card that's flexible continues! Weezing is the ideal early-game offensive wall, spreading around Poison and solid early-game net damage for a very low energy cost. It can stall out and force switches while waiting for the full Pidgeot EX line, and can be pulled out of danger with Koga, or just to get the deck headliner in safely. Pokemon Flute is also included to bring more useless basic Pokemon back to the field and buff Pidgeot EX's attack damage.
