Dialga + Arceus UPDATED

Shaymin-Sky would be a good fit here, then you can run Xspeed instead of Leaf. And Arceus' attack is more consistent.

Dialga + Arceus UPDATED
corner-down-right

I’ve used this deck many times, and adding another Basic Pokémon would be a mistake. It would increase the chances of a bad starting hand due to mulligans and weaken the effectiveness of your Poké Ball cards. In the worst-case scenario, Arceus would be in the active spot at the start, which happens about 20% of the time. To mitigate that risk, you have two Leaf cards that can help correct that bad luck. With this setup, you’ll have a very consistent opener with Skarmory plus a Tool or Dialga EX in the active spot. If one Skarmory gets knocked out, losing a Dialga would likely mean match point for your opponent. That’s why having five Basic Pokémon is the perfect number for Arceus to work properly. This ensures a steady presence of four Pokémon in play, allowing Arceus’s attack to consistently hit for 130 damage.

I think that in the current meta, "Leaf" has much better utility than "Red Card."

Mewtwo deck
corner-down-right

I can see this deck working currently now seeing as we have the new set. As it stands having 2 lines of stage 2 pokemon and especially one with only a single copy each, means that we will not see our pieces fast enough. Therefore, with the current set being added may I suggest dropping the giovanni for a Chatot. With the new chatot you can cycle your hand and see more of your deck far better than just hoping to draw into our oaks. In fact if our opponent keeps many supporters in thier hand it allows us to draw more of our deck. If we play as many cards as possible, with evolving and items and our opponent does not match our card usage that means our typical 2-3 card hands turn back into a 4-5 card hand, effectively being an oak, but on a body and only for 1 energy. Giovanni is a good card to drop as our Pokémon here are looking to 1 hit with big attacks and tend not to either meet the thresholds of current ex Pokémon or are outright knocking out our opponents.
