Arbok Lock

The Arbok Lock archetype is all about fighting on your own terms. Arbok is pretty mediocre, but its ability to prevent a Pokemon from switching out means it can heavily benefit from fighting the right Pokemon, potentially even ending a Pokemon that doesn't have much energy on it before it can even get started. Combine this with Pidgeot's ability to use Sabrina's active Pokemon shuffling effect from the bench, and it can be very hard for your opponent to get the matchup that they want without expending a lot of energy and/or X-Speed items.
