textDescription

While Dragonite is devastating once it hits the field, it is generally too slow and inconsistent to set up to be worth using. Manaphy and Aerodactyl are the perfect partners to mitigate this weakness however, making Dragonite ready sooner and keeping your opponent at bay in the meantime.

Aerodactyl is incredibly useful, disrupting your opponent by removing threats and slowing down both their energy and card economy with Primal Wingbeat. By doing this it also focuses the damage from Dragonite's Draco Meteor onto less targets, making it far more devastating. Giant Cape lets it survive stronger hits, giving it more chances to land Primal Wingbeat. If you have some bad luck with drawing cards or the right energy type, a few successful Primal Wingbeats can give you the time you need.

Manaphy is practically needed on a Dragonite deck with its energy acceleration. Getting rid of it can be very awkward for the opponent as Aerodactyl can simply remove whatever knocked it out, and if they stall to ensure Aerodactyl doesn't remove their only threat then that usually works in your favour.
